Westbrook Lodge Guest House

The sea view from our en-suite room was lovely, and the promenade makes for an easy short walk into Margate centre. Downstairs there’s a small bar serving cocktails, and breakfast is available. There are plenty of games for children, so it’s a very child-friendly place. Our hosts were friendly and attentive. The room was beautifully decorated and spotless, with a very comfortable bed. It also had all the things we could need, plus unexpected extras for a guest house like a fan, mini fridge, makeup mirror, cotton buds and cotton pads. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it for a trip to Margate, whether for work or a holiday.

I’ve stayed here twice, and the quiet surroundings have made it easy to sleep both times. The house stays warm and cosy even when it’s chilly outside, so I’d recommend it for a winter break as well as other seasons. It’s well placed for Margate, Canterbury and other seaside towns or places of interest. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the rates are competitive. The rooms have what you need for a comfortable stay.

Tracey and Colin are a lovely couple, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The rooms are clean, new and cosy, with a pleasant, comfortable dining room. Breakfast was excellent, and parking at the hotel was no problem. Westbrook beach is well placed for a visit, though you’ll need to drive to Margate beach. We shared the bathroom and never had any clashes. Recommended.

Good value, and the renovated house still has plenty of character. The hosts are kind, friendly and helpful, and clearly work hard. It’s a lovely setting near tennis courts, with a nice view of the beach. The area feels quiet and safe, and there’s a Tesco open late just a short walk away.
