Tudor House Hotel

It’s in a great location and nice to pop in for a quick drink and a chat. The pub looks nice from the outside, but it’s a bit tatty inside.

After a long time without socialising together, we had our first night out with work friends here. The new owners have completely changed the place inside, and the roof terrace is fab. The food was excellent and the Cosmo Cocktail Jugs were lovely. Friendly staff and great service too. I can’t recommend The Tudor highly enough.

My room was quirky, with period features. It was basic but clean and comfortable, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing was too much effort for them. The pub is currently closed on Mondays, so if you’re checking in that day, contact them beforehand to arrange things. It’s easy to sort out and shouldn’t be a problem.

My corner room had two windows and was quite spacious, with tasteful decor. The breakfast service was good, though there was room to improve. The toilet and shower had poor ventilation, so there was a strong smell before they’d been used. Traffic was rather loud from the room too, with quite a few noisy bikes and cars passing through the night.
