The place is clean, though it feels very old, and the person greeting you at the door wasn’t very friendly. The hot water from both the shower and sink was actually scalding. I couldn’t turn the shower down enough to use it.

We stayed here for an event at the hotel opposite, and it worked really well. The owners were lovely, and the rooms were clean, roomy and comfortable. There’s a lot of character in the place, with interesting, unusual decor. I also liked the small touches in the room, like earplugs, tissues and a tin of flapjacks.

The friendly, helpful owner served up breakfast that set us up for the day. The comfortable rooms had everything we needed, including delicious flapjacks. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m in the area, and would recommend it.

We booked five rooms for one or two nights while celebrating my brother’s wedding, and had a brilliant stay. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us, and breakfast was delicious. We’d highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

From the outside, you’d never guess how nice this place is. We only stayed one night, but it was well worth it. The room was lovely, with lots of thoughtful little touches, including homemade flapjacks in a pot. It felt a cut above an average, even fairly nice, B&B. I’d recommend it and stay again.
