John and his team gave us great service throughout, and Kevin’s breakfast was delicious. We checked in at 4pm and got a warm welcome. The room was nice, and we were very happy with everything. Thanks for a great stay, John. We’ll definitely return, and we’ll bring Woody some treats next time.

The bloke running this brilliant pub is such a nice fella. And the dog, Woody, humping my mate's leg was an absolute bonus!

We came for my dad’s birthday last weekend, five adults and two kids, with two people in the group having food allergies. We’d mentioned them ahead of time, and the staff offered us a choice of suitable alternatives. They even made a special dessert for our needs. Management did everything they could to reassure us, which made it so nice to eat without worrying about an allergic reaction. The food was lovely, service was quick, and staff were friendly and polite. We’ll definitely return. Thank you!

We went for my friend's birthday Sunday lunch. The service was okay, but it felt odd having waiters who looked about 15. My friend ordered a dish that wasn’t available, but nobody told us. We waited over 30 minutes before they suggested something else, then got a complimentary dish as an apology. They said the meat was cooked fresh, which made me wonder whether the rest wasn’t. Staff looked stressed, and I thought there seemed to be a serious issue with the chef in the kitchen. We asked for one dessert portion to share, split between two plates, but got two portions on one plate instead. Seriously? My friend said it was much better on their first visit. These things happen, but we won’t go back. It wasn’t worth the price.
