The Ivy

Sharon the manager was brilliant when I left my AirPods behind during my stay. She sent them back without any fuss. The staff were amazing, and the room was spot on. Great pub, great rooms and even better service. I’d recommend it!

The food was great, and the menu had plenty to choose from, including several kinds of fish. I went for the chicken and got a generous portion. Even though the place was fully booked, it was a very nice spot, with black beams across the ceiling. Service took a while, and the WiFi was slow too, but I still had a nice experience. Nearby B&Bs were also full, so I ended up going to the Premier Inn in Lincoln. It was about 20 pounds more in most cases, but there was plenty of room.

The coffee and toasted sandwich were OK, but the pub itself was the real surprise. Its decor was amazing. I sat in a little room that felt like an old-fashioned parlour, with comfortable old seats and small tables, the sort of place that could belong in a Sherlock Holmes film. It’s a really special find beside a busy main road, with free off-road parking in the square across the road.

The real ales were all excellent in their own way. This is a very clean pub in the old market town of Wragby, with lovely decor and easy chairs. There’s a traditional main bar and a smaller room off to the side. The facilities were among the cleanest I’ve seen in a pub.
