Wold View House B&B

I booked a three day break to get away from the unbearable heatwave in the city, and it turned out to be my best spontaneous trip so far. It’s a lovely place about a 10 minute drive from Market Rasen railway station, with sunshine, a gentle breeze and peaceful farmland to walk through. Irene is patient, caring, funny and mischievous. We had a lovely time chatting with her, and she kindly shared her scrambled egg recipe with my girlfriend. Breakfast was fabulous. And Foxy, the happy little dog! I loved playing chase and catch with him in the garden and walking together through the farmland. Such a lovely time.

Everything about this place is lovely. Irene clearly loves her work and goes out of her way to help. Her breakfasts are generous, wholesome and tasty. There’s plenty of parking, the gardens are well kept, and the rooms have lovely views. Give her a call to book, it’s worth it.

We read the good reviews and opening hours, then rode our motorbike for about an hour to come for afternoon tea. We arrived around 2 pm on Sunday and found the place closed. Fantastic. Luckily, we had exceptional tea and cakes at the Albion Tea Shop in Market Raisen, which I highly recommend. Perhaps the opening hours need updating?

Irene runs a fantastic B&B and pays attention to every detail. She works tirelessly and makes an amazing breakfast. Thank you.
