Premier Inn Marlborough

Rimen was always smiling and attentive, and remembered our drinks order straight away and again the following evening. Service was beyond what we expected. The bed was comfortable, the shower decent, and everywhere spotlessly clean. There’s plenty of free parking, just remember to register your number plate. The food was very good, especially for the price in the meal deal. The downsides were appalling mobile signal in the hotel and very slow free Wi-Fi.

The beds were super comfortable and the room very spacious. I liked having a bath as an option, though anyone with mobility difficulties might struggle to get in and out safely. Our stay was fine, but the continental breakfast wasn’t especially good for the price, and the tea and coffee in the room were basic. Marlborough is a nice town. I enjoyed running around it in the morning and checking out the great charity shops.

The rooms were cold, staff were drinking with their mate, and the meals weren’t good and made me ill. This could have been a great place, but it’s poor. It should have been a Beefeater. The owners need to sort it out quickly.

The site was in decent shape and seems to have been built fairly recently. Staff were friendly and helpful. The TVs don’t take USB drives for playing your own media, unlike 90% of other Premier inns, though they do have HDMI if you have a device that can use it.
