The Barleycorn Inn

We enjoyed the food so much that we ate at the pub every night for our nine-night stay, and never had to repeat a dish thanks to the menu and specials. My extensive food allergies were handled with real kindness, and our dogs were welcome too. Bed and breakfast was superb. It’s a lovely, proper country pub, with its own chickens and homemade Old Tom's sausages. A great place to stay if you’re visiting the area, and well worth making your local if you live close enough.

A quiet village with a friendly feel, and we had a great two-night stay. The place is pet friendly, the surroundings are lovely, and the owners and staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious and the portions were generous. The homemade burgers are especially worth trying. We’ll certainly return.

We booked for one night because we were attending a local funeral. The room was just right, the owners and bar staff were very friendly, and breakfast was great. Many thanks, we’d stay again.

Everyone was really friendly. My first choice was sold out, which was a shame, but my backup was lovely. The big pie was beautiful. My partner’s burger was almost burnt to a crisp, though it was still decent. Good value, and I’d come back.
