It felt like a home from home, and staying at The Old Coach House brought on a real sense of nostalgia. It’s peaceful, beautifully rustic, and totally dog-friendly, with use of the field behind the cottage. Nigel went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and his family are all lovely. The owners have thought of everything. I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to book again.

The cottage is very quiet, and the scenery around it is stunning, so it’s a lovely place to relax. It feels wonderfully remote, though Bakewell, Matlock and other places are only five miles away. Nigel and family were so friendly and happy to help. It’s dog-friendly and secure, with onsite parking and free WiFi. Everything you need for a home-from-home stay is there.

A really peaceful spot in the heart of Derbyshire, with Matlock, Bakewell and Carsington all close by. The cottage is on a working farm and has lots of garden and open space. The kids loved seeing the cows and sheep in the neighbouring fields.
