Damien was friendly and attentive, and replied promptly whenever we had a question. Derwent House is right by Hall Leys Park and just a short walk from the centre of Matlock, which was ideal. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, plus more. It was very spacious and worked perfectly for eight of us and a dog. The fresh flowers in some of the rooms were a lovely touch. My family and I enjoyed the stay so much that we’ll definitely book again for next year.

Derwent House is a lovely spot in Matlock, with beautiful decor and space that works really well for friends or family getting together. Every room felt thoughtfully set up. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathrooms were lovely, and there were towels, bedding and useful little extras like tea, coffee and cleaning products.

Damien was very helpful with the booking and flexible about dates and times. We stayed at Derwent House with friends to celebrate a 60th birthday, and it was a fabulous visit. The house is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need, a real home from home. Fresh flowers in each living area and chocolates waiting for us were such a nice touch. Shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are all a short walk away through the park. We’d definitely recommend it and hope to return. Thank you.

Derwent House was a beautiful place for me to get together with my three children and their families, including seven grandchildren aged from one to six. The house is in a lovely setting and incredibly well stocked with equipment. I also loved the fresh flowers around the house. I’m hoping we can have another family reunion there before too long.

We spent a short week in this delightful house, with the park and river just across the road and parking opposite. The decor and fittings are really nicely done. There’s a small courtyard garden that catches the sun, on that one day a year in Derbyshire! The video shows the bridge directly across from the house, soaked by rain and steaming as the sun comes out. The river in the photo runs through the park opposite.
