Hampton By Hilton Leeds City Centre

Lucy, the duty manager, was a lovely host at the Hampton: friendly, knowledgeable, and always smiling. The hotel is an easy walk from the city centre. Most of our stay was great, though the breakfast eggs and sausages really weren't to my taste. They were mushy and didn't seem to taste like eggs or sausages, perhaps because they were very processed. The rest of breakfast was acceptable.

There are desks with power sockets in the restaurant area, handy if you need to work, and the WiFi was great all over the hotel. Breakfast had a good range of choices. Our room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and clean, with firm mattresses and pillows, just how I like them. Everyone we met, from reception to the restaurant and breakfast staff, was super friendly. The hotel has its own car park and is near the city centre, or about a 10-minute taxi ride away.

For the price, we really couldn't fault the place. Parking for 24 hours was £20 on site or £10 across the road, and the city centre was an easy 10-minute walk. Our room was compact but clean, and everything worked. The kids loved making their own waffles at breakfast. We'd definitely stay again.

Ei was working at the bar one night and took the time to suggest some great Asian restaurants in Leeds. She was extremely friendly, and we really appreciated it. All the staff were welcoming, and our room was clean and nice, though smaller than I'd pictured. We parked at the conveniently located hotel and walked around the city centre. We had a pleasant stay and would happily return.
