Carsington Water and a village pub are close by, with plenty of walks and even water sports to enjoy nearby. Emily Barn, in Carsington, made a great base for exploring the Derbyshire Dales. It’s full of character, feels authentic, and looks out over a private garden. Our family really enjoyed the stay and would happily recommend it.

Val was so helpful throughout our friends’ get-together for my 70th. There was loads of room, and the accommodation was comfortable and very well equipped. I’d certainly recommend it.

I came away feeling rested and refreshed. The village is beautiful, with lovely walks right nearby, and the place itself is gorgeous, stylish and still comfortable. Val was an absolute angel. Highly recommended ❤

We had a great group stay in the barn. There was a good mix of rooms for us, and it was a lovely place to stay. Matlock Bath and Bakewell are close by, with local walks nearby too.

The location is absolutely beautiful, and the house itself is lovely to stay in. It’s got everything you need for self-catering, and the owner is really approachable.
