Kirkham House

We went with friends, and I’d gladly bring the family next time. Kirkham house is gorgeous, with very comfortable beds and a private hot tub area. The sunny balcony is a lovely place to sit and watch people go by. Neil was a wonderful host, making sure we had what we needed without hovering. There was a welcome package and the basics to get us through the first night. The location is really convenient for Matlock Bath and exploring further afield. Can't wait to return, great find, 10/10!

Neil kept in touch throughout and was an extremely good host. We had no problems during our stay. The central location was lovely, and it was great to have a balcony to sit out on and a hot tub to unwind in. The welcome pack was a very nice gesture. I’d definitely return to Kirkham House.

The whole family appreciated how much room there was, and the hot tub and BBQ were very well looked after. It’s a great property from beginning to end, with all the home-from-home essentials at a high standard. Neil was attentive around our arrival and departure and checked in by message to see how things were going, which was a nice touch. The main street is close by, and Matlock itself is just a short distance away. The bedrooms and beds were super comfortable. My favourite detail was the sound system that plays music in every room, I liked it enough to plan on copying the idea at home. Highly recommend, we’ll be back.

We travelled to MB by public transport, and the house was very convenient for the station and trips to Matlock, Derby and Cromford. It’s tucked just behind the charming main street in Matlock Bath, with lovely views from the balcony and from the hill behind the house. The kitchen was better equipped than any holiday let we’ve tried, and the thoughtful welcome pack was waiting for us. The hot tub was a brilliant extra, the beds were super comfortable, and the owner was easy to get hold of. Highly recommend.
