The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the cottage was spacious, exceptionally clean, and well looked after. We had a living room, dining room that could also work as a reading nook, fully equipped kitchen, two large double bedrooms, a very small single, and a bathroom. The hosts sent really helpful information before we arrived. Street parking was easy to find, and there are two village pubs within a short walk, one about two minutes away and the other around seven. We stayed for a weekend to celebrate a 60th and would happily come back. Cannot fault it, thank you!

The owners were great at keeping in touch and sent plenty of suggestions for places to eat and visit. They also left wine and chocolates, a lovely welcome. It’s an old, quirky house with very modern comforts, including a big kitchen with a dishwasher, a spacious sitting room and dining room, and everything you could need in the kitchen. The toiletries and cleaning supplies were all provided and good quality. There are three bedrooms, two very large doubles and one small but adequate single. The house was spotless, and the cleaner was exceptional. We found parking about 50 yards up the road. The price was very reasonable for such 5-star accommodation. We’ll definitely book again and recommend it.

A great base for exploring Derbyshire, with plenty of on-street parking nearby. The host communicated well, and the cottage was spacious, beautifully furnished, exceptionally clean, and had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return!

We all had a lovely stay and would book again without hesitation. The cottage is well equipped, and although it’s near a busy road, the noise was minimal. Martin the owner left us a bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. It’s a well-equipped little holiday hire with a really nice vibe. We were only there for one night and would love to return for longer.
