There was plenty for the kids to do at the village fete that weekend, with stalls, food and drink vendors, and activities. There was even a little shop for essentials, and the bins were emptied regularly. We had 26 of us camping over the 2nd May bank holiday weekend, adults and children, and it was a blast. The children ran around, made friends with other campers, and we never felt we couldn’t keep an eye on them. It’s a very family-friendly site. The adults could relax in the sun and enjoy the temporary bar set up for the fete. The toilets were spacious, very clean, and top-notch. My only gripe about the whole trip was that there were no toilets in field 2. We’ll definitely visit again.

A great campsite at reasonable rates, with clean facilities, friendly staff, and a well stocked shop. The adult showers had plenty of continuous hot water. We also saw alpacas and peacocks. It’s a great base for walking, with two decent pubs within walking distance.

Lovely place! I came for my second night of Silver DofE practice and had a genuinely wonderful time. After hours of hiking, it was bliss to have clean toilets with mirrors and free, working hot showers. The area is picturesque, and the facilities were just a couple of minutes’ walk from my tent. I’d never seen peacocks so close before.

We went camping here for DofE, and the kind, friendly staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The location is lovely and the facilities are excellent. I’d definitely book again.

We had a lovely weekend here with six adults and six kids. There was loads of space in the big field to pitch our camp and still leave room for the kids to play football, fly kites, throw gliders, and run around. The toilets were clean, there were plenty of bins and they were emptied regularly, and the staff were nice. The kids loved seeing the Alpaca’s and the peacocks. The pizza van on Friday was superb, and the butty wagon’s big breakfast cobs fed us both mornings. A couple of local pubs are a short walk away. We missed having a pub or bar on site a little, as we’d had one at Callow top last year. I thought there wasn’t a play park, though maybe there was one and we just didn’t spot it. We’d definitely return and would recommend staying here. Thanks for a great visit.
