The room was spotless, with shortbread in a jar and plenty of hot drinks to choose from, plus water. We slept well in the comfy bed, and the bathroom was fab. Rosie welcomed us as soon as we arrived and showed us to a lovely room. The sat nav wasn't quite right, but the Bramble Rose signs at the entrance were easy to spot. Rosie also helped us find places to eat. Breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and a cooked option. Thanks, Rosie. We'd definitely come back.

The owner was very friendly, and the generous breakfasts were great. The accommodation is basic but clean, in a separate cabin or annex opposite the main house. You'll need transport. The village is near Holt, though quite a way from the main attractions, with large stretches of unspoilt countryside around. We visited in January, so it wasn't the best time of year.
