The garden kept our two young children happily exploring, and we all had a great stay. Our room was immaculate, breakfast was cooked to order and delicious, and the hosts were really friendly. We'd happily come back.

The countryside views were lovely, and the Old Stables is in a really peaceful spot. Everything was clean and stocked with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Fran was so thoughtful and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. We'd stay again if we're in the area.

The host was warm, attentive and helpful, and there's no need to drive everywhere if you stay here. You can head out on local walks or visit the nearby pub. We found this place just outside Melton Mowbray, with a room that mixes old-school character and modern comfort. Off-street parking was a very welcome bonus.
