The views from the balcony and living areas were lovely, and we all had a great three-night New Year stay at The Old Mill. The house is beautifully finished, from the bathrooms and bedding to all the little accessories, and it had everything our family of seven needed. Thanks, Laura and Damien. We'd happily come back and recommend it.

We spent evenings around the open fire, and the cosy, modern house made it easy to unwind. From the balcony, the Menai Straits looked stunning, and I loved being able to open the doors straight onto it. There's loads of room, including a living room with enough comfortable seating for everyone. The peaceful spot is still close to local amenities, and the beaches and scenic walks nearby are beautiful. I'd highly recommend it.

We loved relaxing on the balcony in the morning and listening to the birds. Shops, pubs and restaurants are only a few minutes away on foot, and we fitted in two beach visits, one at a national park, plus a speedboat trip. Towels, tea and coffee, wine, crisps and duck food were provided, and the place was immaculate. It felt like a brilliant escape, even though it took us under two hours to get there from Manchester. The huge living room had plenty of seating for all eight of us, making it ideal for a big family get-together. Much cheaper than booking hotel rooms, too. We'll definitely return.

The host was so friendly and helpful, and the village with its good pubs and restaurants is only a short walk away. The apartment is beautifully furnished to suit the feel of the area, and that balcony view is amazing when the weather's good. Highly recommend.

Laura was easy to reach and such a lovely host. She even left a welcome hamper for us. The kids made good use of the toys and games, and especially liked the upstairs library. We had everything we needed to cook for ourselves during the week, and the house was clean, spacious and nicely presented, with lots of quirky touches. The cosy living room and log fire were especially welcome in the evenings. From the balcony you can see across the water to the mainland, and there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops within walking distance. We also found lots to do within about a half-hour drive, including beaches and places of interest. Well worth a visit.
