The Duke William B&B

The village shop is just around the corner, and dinner options are a short drive away, which worked well for stopping on the way back from outings. It’s a peaceful spot at night, and after trying a few places nearby over the last several weeks, I’d definitely return. Nick and Karen are friendly hosts who set a high standard. The rooms and facilities are well maintained, the bedding is comfortable, and there are considerate little touches like a torch by the door and homemade cake with the drinks tray. Internet speed is modern, and my breakfast was made fresh and served piping hot when I needed it.

Karen and Nick made me feel very welcome, and I really appreciated my two nights there. The room was spacious, bright, and airy, with a bed that made for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was first class, with delicious homemade preserves. The homemade cake was lovely too, thank you both for the hospitality. I’d recommend staying at the Duke William, and I’m sure I’ll be back before long.

The breakfasts were divine, and the cake was delicious. Nick and Karen did their best to work around my gluten and dairy intolerance even though I hadn’t told them in advance, and I’m very grateful. The room was spotless, and they were both lovely. Be sure to try the homemade jams, every flavour was delicious. Fab stay at The Duke William, we’ll be back :)

This B&B is such a find, in a lovely village setting. The owners are kind and happy to help with anything. My room was spacious and fresh, with a built-in en suite, all on the ground floor and with its own outside entrance. There’s a full English breakfast as well as other choices, plenty to set you up for the day. I thoroughly recommend it. (On behalf of Anne Dunn)
