Chester looks lovely, and we didn't get a chance to spend proper time there, so we'd happily return. We used this beautiful house as our base over Easter while walking Snowdon. The hosts were really helpful, even buying a foldable bed for the extra teenager in our group of 11, and the facilities had everything we needed. A few little things stopped me giving five stars. One en-suite lock was broken, apparently after someone had forced the door. The floor changes level in the middle of the building for some reason, the shower pressure drops when all three showers are running, and you need your own transport because of the location. None of those would put us off, though. If they’re deal breakers, you may need to pay quite a bit more elsewhere. We thought it was a great place to stay.

It was great to find somewhere our whole family could get together, especially as so many places are completely inaccessible. We stayed in autumn 2023, and the owners were incredibly helpful about accommodating our disabled family member. The ground-floor bedroom worked for them and their mobility scooter. The barn itself is beautiful, roomy and comfortable. Would recommend!

The countryside views and evening sunsets made this a lovely spot for our wedding celebration. We were six people and spent three nights at No1 Little Barrow Barn, with plenty of room to come together and relax. It had everything we needed, was immaculately clean, and the beds were comfy with powerful showers. Thanks to Dawn and Kieran for a wonderful stay xx

The garden and back windows have stunning views, and the house has a lovely mix of rustic and modern. The double rooms are spacious, everything was clean, and we loved the kitchen diner. Somehow I was the one cooking breakfast for 10 the morning after our wedding, but the big kitchen and its two ovens made it easy. My wife stayed here the night before we got married, then we came back after the wedding and stayed another night. On Sunday, with checkout due Monday, housekeeping told us we could take our time and leave later on Monday. Such a lovely personal touch. I barely took any photos of the place, I was caught up in all the wedding excitement.

We booked this on the recommendation of our wedding venue so my family could stay over the wedding weekend. The house is gorgeous, very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It somehow feels both luxurious and homely. We're already looking forward to coming back.
