The hotel was surprisingly quiet, even opposite a major hospital. The room was clean and comfortable, and the receptionist gave us a warm welcome. There’s a great car park with plenty of good-sized spaces. Breakfast was first class, cooked to order, and the waitress provided great service and asked about allergies. I’d highly recommend staying here, especially for football at Middlesbrough, which is literally a ten-minute drive away.

The staff are amazing, and I’ve stayed here before when it was a weekday and everything was amazing. This time we stayed Friday night into Saturday. The location and rooms were good, and the bed was comfy. I felt sorry for the lad serving breakfast. There were too many guests at once, orders got mixed up, and some items were missing from what people had ordered. I think the hotel should use pre-booked breakfast to avoid having so many guests at one time.

The room was clean and bright, the welcome was nice, and reception was laid out well. The car park out front was nice too. But the room was far too hot for me at 21°C. Breakfast had a good selection, but it was cold, even the hash browns. Next time I’ll have breakfast at the Toby next door.

It’s central and handy for getting around, with good parking. The hotel is also close to James Cook hospital if you have family there. There’s an excellent Toby on site for meals. A very good place to stay.

The staff made us feel welcome and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Our room was stunning, beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. An absolutely fantastic stay!
