Best Western West Grange Hotel

I had no trouble finding gluten-free food here. The staff understood that I’m gluten intolerant and could provide GF items, with a good range of breakfast options for different dietary needs included in the stay. It’s a small, nice hotel with very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and comfy beds. Although it’s on a main road, the building sits back from it, and the location is great.

Laura at reception was great and moved me to a quieter room. It was spacious and really quiet, so I had a lovely stay. The Alexander Italian restaurant in Thatcham is worth trying, the food was lovely.

The room we were given was small, even though we’d been 'upgraded'. Maybe it was an unusual case, since I expect the other rooms are bigger. The bathroom extractor didn’t work, and the steam after a shower may have set off the fire alarm. It was embarrassing, as the staff clearly thought we were smoking. It made for a poor visit, but I think we were unlucky. We’ve had great value experiences at other locations before, so I’d use them again.

I had a lovely little break here. The room was lovely and very clean, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Shivangi and Sutoy in particular, thank you both for making my stay such a lovely time.
