The Old Priory

We booked the whole place for a New Year self catering break with nine adults and eight children, and it suited us perfectly. There was room for us all to eat together in the dining room, and the professional kitchen made preparing a celebration meal simple and stress free. Even though it rained all weekend, the kids had plenty to do, with the karaoke machine, lots of DVDs, and endless games of hide and seek. The grown ups had the lounge, while the children had the drawing room. There was lots of space to relax. The owners unpacked our online shopping before we arrived, showed us how things worked, then left us to enjoy our stay while staying available if we needed anything. I'd highly recommend the place.

Both rooms looked out towards the church, and the building has such an amazing history. I stayed overnight in October for a work event in Bath. The hosts were really welcoming, and breakfast was awesome, just what I needed to start the day. What an amazing find.

For our wedding reception, the Old Priory was just right. It has a cosy, homely feel but can still accommodate a bigger group, especially with the beautiful walled garden. We had access to the professional kitchen on the restaurant level and were able to self cater the whole event, which worked perfectly for us. Melody and Matt were fantastic hosts, offering friendship and help whenever they could while still giving us the freedom to use the property as we saw fit. We were delighted with the reception.

The owners were so lovely and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great, close to both Bath and Bristol. The beds were super comfy and soft. We'll definitely come back!
