The house was in poor shape from the moment we arrived. There was a big carpet stain already there, but after our stay we were charged £175.84 for it. That's an extortionate amount for damage that existed beforehand. There was peeling paint, damp visible on the living room walls, and broken beds in both upstairs twin rooms, so we ended up sleeping on the floor. Basic hygiene supplies were missing too, including handwash, washing liquid, and bin bags. My stay at Duddon House was incredibly disappointing. If anything goes wrong, and it very likely might, expect poor service and charges that aren't justified. I strongly warn others against booking this property. Totally unacceptable.

A fabulous, well-equipped house close to shops and restaurants, with beaches and the lakes nearby too.
