Adam sorted out the sofa bed issue straight away, bringing us a great inflatable bed when I said it wasn’t large enough for two. Really lovely service. The place itself was stylish and very clean, and we’d happily stay again or recommend it.

We booked Brightleaps Dakota apartment for my husband’s birthday, and getting the keys was straightforward. The apartment was clean, had everything we needed, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. We had a great night and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone staying in MK.

The TV was about the only good thing for me. I regret booking this place, and anyone who chooses it, enjoy. The apartment felt filthy as soon as we arrived. There was hair and biscuit debris in the bedroom, and things seemed crooked or damaged. The sofas felt dusty and uncomfortable, there were stains around the house, and the lampshades looked rusty. The ceiling light also hits the bathroom door whenever it opens. The vacuum smelled awful, and the electric hob had no markings to show the temperature. The balcony door sometimes stuck when I tried to unlock it. There was loud construction right outside from 8am. With a window open, that was all you could hear, and I believe guests should have been told before booking. Forklifts were moving around and building materials were lying about, so I was concerned about car safety. The entrance doors often wouldn’t open even with the right code, except for the car park door, which left me worried about safety. The car broke down twice in the accommodation car park. I only suggested the construction might have caused the puncture. I was waiting for RAC, and although I was given a late checkout, the owner was rude and careless. I was told, chuckling, “I’d suggest you pack your bags and get out of here within the next 5 minutes.” I’d paid just under £200 and had a genuine breakdown, but felt there was no care for my situation. I hadn’t visited this part of Milton Keynes before, and this was probably my worst experience with a company. The owner’s response below didn’t address my full review and belittled my complaint. JUST FOR VIEWERS ATTENTION has taken me legal, so be careful if you have a problem with the apartment. The owner is now trying to do more damage over criticism and accusing me of defaming the accommodation. That isn’t me. The owner seemed professional at first, but became intimidating and rude when I raised a concern. I felt the late checkout was later used against me.

The management was professional and quick to reply, and the apartment had everything I needed. It felt like a home away from home, and it’s one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed in. If you’re still looking, I’d say stop and book it.
