The welcome was warm, and the room was very clean, but for the price, this guesthouse was a letdown. The room was tiny, barely enough space for the bed, with a very small TV, maybe 14 or 17 inches. The bathroom was ridiculous: a basic shower and a little toilet crammed into the narrow gap between the shower and wall. The whole "Stables" seems to be made with stud framing and plasterboard, so sound carries badly. I woke up when someone two rooms away flushed, and again when people walked along the corridor. Breakfast was good, even though it was buffet style. The coffee was only about three quarters of a cup, though. For comparison, the next night I stayed at an Inn with bigger, comfortable rooms, a truly outstanding breakfast, and an amazing country atmosphere, for 25% less than I paid here. I won’t be rushing back. And for anyone outside Britain, plasterboard is what you call Sheetrock.

The room was simple but had everything I needed, and the host was lovely. I really liked the dogs, too. Breakfast was nice and included in the very reasonable £70 room rate. The Wi-Fi was awful and the TV signal wasn’t great, but I’d still definitely stay again.

The owner is really friendly and the service was excellent. It’s a quiet, lovely place, though a little too far from MK for a business trip. Most taxi drivers in MK don’t seem to know the hotel, so Uber is probably the better option for a trip to MK. Recommended.

The B&B is a very good place to stay. The rooms and en-suites are very good, and breakfast was excellent in a lovely breakfast room. There’s also a fridge in reception that guests can use.

Breakfast was first class, and the host was helpful without getting in the way. Check-in was easy, and the room was comfortable, quiet and clean, with a very good view. I’d definitely stay again.
