The gardens have lovely views, and there’s a cosy lounge full of books if you fancy a quiet read. We stayed for two nights. The hotel is well placed, about a 10-minute walk into town, though the hill up to it is steep and so is the driveway. The hosts were great. Breakfast, which was cooked to order, was fantastic. Evening meals were available in the price, but we just chose bed and breakfast.

Set in a lovely wooded area with well-kept gardens, this family-run hotel is away from the hustle and bustle around the Butlins end of Minehead. The rooms are comfortable and the meals are wonderful. It’s also an easy walk to the seafront and town. Thoroughly recommend.
