The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the beach is an easy walk away. The location is great, close to the town centre, plenty of nearby shops, and a petrol station right next door. Breakfast was tasty and the usual Premier Inn offering. The room was clean and comfortable, making this a stay I'd recommend. One point off because parking costs extra, though that was clearly stated, and the self check-in machine wasn't working.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, with a hair dryer and tea and coffee in the room, plus spares at reception. I booked at the last minute for £87, then paid another £7 for parking. The TV volume was locked at 15, which was annoying, and I couldn't work out why the windows didn't open. Breakfast was £10.99 per person, a standard cooked hotel breakfast with a continental option. Apart from those niggles, it was a nice stay.

We've been coming here since not long after the hotel opened, and the rooms have always suited us. The staff are consistently cheerful and helpful too. My elderly mother has moved away from Minehead now, so I'll need a new reason to come down and stay!

14/12/25 After five hours on the road, we arrived around 7pm for one night before our Butlin’s holiday. There was nobody at reception at first. A few minutes later Justin came out, went straight to the computer, and asked only for my surname. No hello, smile, or real interaction before he handed over the key. We'd booked a twin room for three adults, all 23, and I thought that was allowed. He asked if all three of us were staying, then said we couldn't, without explaining the reason. He took the key back and told me we couldn't stay until I'd booked another room. The hotel was half empty, but I had to pay another £52 there and then through the app. He didn't offer to help find a better price or book it on the system, and just stood silently at his computer while I did it. Once I'd booked, he said their rule was because they couldn't know if we'd have eight people in the room. It was clearly just the three of us for one night. The policy itself isn't what upset me most, it was how rude he was and the complete lack of customer care to make us feel welcome. By then I didn't even want to be there, but I'd already paid the £7 parking fee, which seemed absurd. It's the first Premier Inn that's charged me for parking, and the car park was half empty. My room also had very weak shower pressure, a hole in the wall leading to the bathroom, and a strange smell. My friend's room was fine, so maybe I was just unlucky. We tried the Brewers Fayre next door for food at 8:30pm. Online it said they closed at 10:30 on Sunday, but when we got there they said they were closing in half an hour, so we'd have to eat quickly. We left it. Their staff were much more professional and the woman was lovely, which cheered me up after the Premier Inn service, even though the hours posted online were wrong.

The rooms were affordable, a nice size, clean, and comfortable. It made a perfect one-night base before Fatboy Slim All Back to Minehead. I wouldn't recommend the food, though.
