Buchan Guest House

The hosts were so thoughtful, you can tell they really care about the people staying there. They were kind, full of useful information, and happy to help with anything. The house itself was spotless, warm, and beautiful, and our room had a big TV with every streaming option we could want. Such a lovely place to stay.

A great place to break up the drive from the Midlands to the Highlands, with plenty of parking and the town centre just a short walk away. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the hosts are excellent, and breakfast was a fantastic Scottish one.

The breakfast was a real highlight. There was cereal, yoghurt, juice, fruit, and porridge, plus Scottish, haddock, and vegetarian cooked options with personal adjustments available. My wife chose Scottish and I had vegetarian, both were cooked perfectly and came in generous portions. George and Elena are professional, friendly, and helpful. Our room and en-suite were spotless, and the guest house had everything we needed. The information pack had restaurant ideas and walks in the area. It is only a few minutes on foot from town, with ample parking and a garage where motorbikes can be kept overnight. There is also a comfortable lounge upstairs, with plush sofas and a very large flat screen TV with free movie channels. I've stayed in hotels and guest houses all over the world, and this place was absolutely perfect for me. I hope to visit again next year.

The breakfast deserves about 10 stars, and the little B and B itself is cosy and lovely. It's recently been refurbished to a really high standard, with lots of thought put into it. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. I'd highly recommend it.
