Cold and wet after arriving on my motorbike, I ended up staying three nights. It was the best B&B ever, right in the heart of Moffat, with wonderful breakfasts. The host knows loads about the area and even arranged off street parking for my bike. Highly recomend!

The owners give you space, but are happy to chat if you feel like it. We spent four days here and had a wonderful time in every respect. Their phenomenal Scottish breakfast included some of the best eggs I've ever tasted, fresh from their own chickens, which was a must-have experience. The nearby views are stunning, and there's also a Michelin starred resto very close by that I'd recommend with the greatest enthusiasm.

Ruth was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the room was lovely and comfy. I shared an ensuite with my partner, and it cost £100 per night. There was a kettle, hairdryer, TV, iron and ironing board, trouser press, complimentary sherry in a decanter, and a bottle of water. Even the small touches, like earbuds and facepads, were there. Breakfast was amazing. I had fresh fruit and yoghurt, toast with Ruth's homemade jam, and a small vegetarian breakfast. Ruth also catered for tea and apple juice. Cereals were offered too. I'll definitely go back.

Ruth was brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and you can use the dining room for food you've brought back. Breakfast was cooked fresh and fantastic, with a good selection of cereals and fruit as well. It's just a minute's walk into town, which was really convenient for my job there. I'll most likely book again next time I'm in Moffat.

Ruth made us feel at home, and the bed was really comfortable. We stayed one night at Hazel Bank B&B on our LEJOG cycling trip. The house was warm and clean, and our bikes were safely stored at the back. I asked Ruth to book a table at the local pub, and she also gave us a 10% discount card. The cooked breakfast was delicious too!
