Charmain, Becky and Tim made us feel so welcome, and breakfast conversations were great. The setting is beautiful, tucked away in the hills, and properly relaxing. This was our second stay, which says a lot. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and we’ll be back again!

After a long, busy day out, it was lovely to sink into the comfy sofas. The room was spacious, with an en-suite bathroom and spectacular views. Charmian gave us a warm, friendly welcome, and Rebecca served a delicious home-cooked breakfast. A real gem of a place. Much recommended, and I hope to visit again.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a warm, comfortable queen-size bed and a fabulous shower. A stool at the dressing table would have helped, though. I had to sit in an armchair to dry my hair and on the toilet to do my makeup. There were a couple of little oversights too: the coffee was out of date and there was an empty biscuit wrapper by the bed. The host was friendly, knowledgeable and interesting, and I liked being able to sit in the lounge with another family we met there. The views were fabulous even on a dreary October weekend. It’s quaint and quirky, but the drive through the forest is an adventure. If you’re a townie or not a confident driver, it could be a bit unnerving 😂. Still, a nice stay.

We even spotted a badger in the garden! There are plenty of nearby places to see and things to do, including Llangollen, Loggerheads Country Park and Moel Famau. The staff were really friendly and gave us detailed driving instructions for routes with great views. It’s incredibly peaceful, with lovely views and gardens to wander around. Everyone working there was great, and we’d definitely go again. Our stay was amazing!

I was there for 5 nights. It’s a great, quiet base for day hikes, with views of the hills and a good breakfast. A lovely spot in North Wales.
