Tower

We’ve stayed at The Tower several times and it’s never let us down. My favourite is the big front room looking out over the pond, though all the rooms are lovely. The larger ones have a fridge and microwave too. John and Steph are warm, helpful hosts who’ll do anything for you. Breakfast is delicious, served either in the grand baronial-style hall or in the lovely dining and lounge area. There’s also a tucked-away gazebo in the grounds where we’ve spent many happy hours with the occasional bottle of fizz, taking breaks to dip in the hot tub John sets up if you ask. The Tower is a gorgeous medieval building, almost castle-like but still welcoming and homely. Its peaceful grounds make it such a special place to stay, and I feel lucky every time to spend time in a building with so much history. It’s my all-time favourite place to stay.

Steph made us feel very welcome, and the homemade breakfast was excellent. We had a spacious, comfortable room with lots of period furniture. The building’s history, architecture and furnishings make it an amazing place to stay. Highly recommended.

Such a charming, beautiful place, the loveliest I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are huge, the grounds are kept so well, and breakfast was lovely. The hosts were fantastic. 10/10.

What a setting for a murder mystery, that incredible building was just right. The hosts were lovely and patient too. Thanks for everything, John and Steph!
