The food was incredible, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. We only popped in for a couple of drinks and something to eat, but we're really glad we did. Such a great pub with a lovely atmosphere. We'll be back to eat again!

The cauliflower steak had loads of flavour, and the burger was one of the best I've had in ages. It was a proper, involved burger, and the chips deserve their own mention too. They seemed simple, but clearly took some thought to get right. We also shared a cheesecake that was just as good. Our plates were cleared, though only one of us had room for dessert. I've been coming to this part of the country for more than 50 years and only just found this place. I can see why it's busy. We finally stopped in for a meal after dropping by for a drink to get a feel for the place, the people and the menu. The food's worth making a trip for, and the service was great. Credit to the kitchen for keeping it at this level.

Dinner in the “Love Book” was a real highlight, and breakfast was just as good. There was plenty to choose from, including a full English, fruit, cereal, juice and hot drinks. They even fixed us a coffee to take along for the drive. Such a thoughtful touch. The owners made us feel welcome right away, and the quiet setting was lovely, with owls the only sound in the evening. We were also pleasantly surprised with an upgrade when we arrived. This is the nicest place I've stayed, and the whole visit felt special. I'd happily recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

The restaurant dinner was a must, absolutely delicious. We had a beautiful room and a great breakfast, and the service was lovely. They also gave us really useful tips for exploring Exmoor. We had an amazing stay.

There were 10 of us at the Notley for a family birthday, and they made it so easy for our group. Everyone could find something on the menu, and the food was fantastic. The staff were lovely and did everything they could for us. Thank you!
