Stepping Stones

The location made getting into Morpeth centre easy, just a short, direct walk up the road. We stayed one night before a family event, and Julie went well beyond what we needed, she was so helpful. The room was warm, tidy and clean, with everything we could have wanted, plus an amazing range of biscuits for our morning coffee. Breakfast had a starter and main course, a first for me, and it kept me going for the rest of the day. Absolutely tip-top.

Breakfast was probably the best cooked one I’ve ever had, and there were cereals, fruit and plenty of other choices too. Julie gave us great suggestions for where to eat, and brought tea, cake and biscuits to our very comfortable room when we arrived. She was so welcoming. Genuinely a lovely stay.

The rooms overlooking the river are lovely, and there are plenty of breakfast choices, including plant-based options. I brought my mum and auntie for a short shopping break, and they were really impressed. Julie’s hospitality and care for her guests are fantastic, with thoughtful details throughout, including the welcome tea and cakes. The B&B is ideally located. We’ll be back.

We had a lovely view of the river from our room at the back. It was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed. Julie welcomed us warmly and, since we arrived early, brought us coffee and cakes, a lovely gesture after the journey. The location and parking worked well, and breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. I’d highly recommend it.
