Host Stay Crawford House

We slept really well during our romantic weekend, with no noise at all. Crawford House is cosy, peaceful, warm and comfortable, with a good amount of space and everything we needed. It would be lovely for a winter break, with the fire, soft lighting and blankets and throws for getting cosy. Everything was very clean, and we really appreciated the basket of local treats. The house is right by the river, with shops, restaurants and pubs an easy walk away. Bamburgh Castle and beach are just under an hour by car, and Alnwick is closer. The hosts are there if needed but leave you to enjoy your stay. Their communication beforehand was excellent, and the online handbook was handy to refer to. We'd definitely like to return.

The enclosed garden was great for the dogs, and the area was lovely and quiet. Pubs, a supermarket and the town centre are only a short stroll away. Crawford House is tastefully furnished, with lots of attention to detail, and was very clean throughout. I loved getting the welcome pack by email, with all the information before we arrived. We don't usually read the information books in other places, so seeing everything in advance added to the experience. The luxurious, unexpected welcome gifts were a real treat. Lisa communicated brilliantly from booking through checkout. Such a shame we were there only for the weekend. We'd highly recommend Crawford House. Thanks, Lisa & Mark.

We spent 10 days at Crawford House over Christmas, and it was fantastic. The place is perfectly located for families, with shops, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. The guidebook explained check-in and checkout and had useful WiFi details and places to visit and eat. It had everything our family of four needed. The house was warm, which we needed after living in Dubai, and very comfortable. The heating was always on, and we loved snuggling up to watch TV under the fluffy blankets. The kitchen cupboards had all we needed to cook, plus an awesome coffee maker with capsules. The welcome hamper had local goodies, and the bottle of prosecco was a lovely way to celebrate Christmas. The host had even put up a beautiful Christmas tree in the living rooms. My daughters especially loved the chocolates on their pillows. There were so many lovely touches to welcome us to Crawford House. Lisa and Mark were available and very helpful when we needed to extend our stay because our COVID test results weren't sent on time. They even emailed to check everything was okay and ask if we needed anything. We'll definitely recommend Crawford House to family and friends, and book again for our summer holiday. We picked Crawford House for our family break because it's dog friendly and centrally placed for exploring Northumberland with the kids. It was clean, homely and nicely decorated, with lots of thoughtful extras. The kids loved finding chocolate buttons on their pillows, and there was a welcome basket of goodies and a cupboard stocked with things we'd forgotten to bring for cooking. Morpeth was lovely to explore. We spent a lot of time at Druridge Bay beach, crabbing at Amble and splashing about in the pool at the local park. A lovely base for a family holiday. We'd definitely recommend it and come back.xx
