Dinner was pretty good, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The fresh cooked breakfast was hot, though the buffet felt limited, especially the coffee choices. The room was the letdown. It looked like it had been refurbished fairly recently, but it didn’t feel up to what we’d expect from a B&B costing around £150 a night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the wet room shower soaked everything in the bathroom. With a bit more thought and attention, the room could have been fine, but we left underwhelmed.

Breakfast was tasty, and the views down the valley were great. You could choose cooked breakfast for £12.50 or continental for £6.50. We had a ham and cheese panini with chips and salad for £9, which was lovely, and the bar area was nice too. The hotel itself is lovely. Our room looked over the front car park, but it stayed quiet until around 8-8.30 on Sunday.

The location was really handy for sightseeing, and we’d definitely come back. We spent two nights here. The room was a little dated, though that’s understandable in an old building. Staff were professional, friendly, and happy to help with anything. We enjoyed the breakfasts and evening meals, and the bar had a very good selection.

Trevor, you’re amazing, and Nathan and the rest of the staff are just as friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are beautiful, and this is one of our favourite places to stay. We’d highly recommend this lovely hotel and can’t wait to visit again. Best wishes, Brian and Joanne Macken xxx ❤️❤️❤️

They were really busy, but still managed to fit us in without any trouble. We had starters and mains, both lovely, and the vegetables were especially good, done stir-fry style. A super experience as ever, with a wonderful welcome. X
