Hay Lodge

We were celebrating our anniversary, and Marion and Terry surprised us with a bottle of champagne and chocolates. I was touched by how thoughtful that was. They’re fantastic hosts who do everything they can for you. Our room was spotless and spacious, and they made a lovely cooked breakfast, catering for anything you’d like. The B&B is a short walk from the beach, with two great restaurants right across the road. We’ll definitely visit again if we’re in Nairn.

The family room and the separate en-suite chalet made a comfortable setup for our party of four, even though the family room sleeps three and the chalet sleeps one. The place was immaculately clean, and the generously sized towels were a particular highlight. Marion, Terry and their lovely rescue dog Seamus were delightful hosts, and breakfast was made to order the next morning. Hay Lodge is just a five-minute walk from the coastline to the north and the high street to the east, making it a good base for seeing the Scottish Highlands. We’d give it six stars if we could.

Marianne and her husband gave us a very warm welcome for our mini break. Our room and bathroom were clean and cosy, and breakfast was delicious, with generous portions and drinks. Getting into the property was easy, and the private parking felt safe. We’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Nairn.

I felt safe and secure in my single room, which had its own outside door. The path was well lit by sensor lights, and the hosts were friendly when they welcomed me. The room was spotless, the towels were soft and fluffy, and the extra toiletries were a lovely touch. Super breakfast too. I’d definitely use it again.
