I stayed in Pod 5 with four people and pets, and the place was pretty, clean and spacious. It was so well kept that it felt like someone was looking after it as their own home. I’d love to meet whoever designed the pod. The countryside around it was lovely and green, with fresh, peaceful air, and our pet had plenty of space to run and play. The pods are right by a cow and lamb farm, which was a wonderful part of the experience. The evening barbecue was excellent, and they provided the setup, charcoal and wood. Karen, thank you for creating this place. I’d happily return, and I’ll tell friends and family about it. I only wish I’d been able to stay longer.

The cabins were cosy, clean and comfortable, and the place was beautiful and so peaceful. There’s plenty to see and do nearby. We had a great couple of days and couldn’t fault the stay. 10/10, and we’d definitely come back.

We couldn’t fault our stay at Macbeth’s Hillock over the second May bank holiday. It was so quiet, and everything we needed was provided, including loo roll and washing up liquid, even though we’d brought our own. The place was warm and really comfortable. We didn’t need the heater at all, and I actually had to open the window. Excellent, would highly recommend.

For my first night in a pod, it was a fun experience. It was very comfortable for the two of us, and I’m almost 60. We slept well, and even with the pods close together, it felt very private. There’s electricity, a stove top and a warm shower. Bring your own linen or order it for a fee. Karen was helpful and pointed us toward some special local drives and walks. We chose to cook on the stove top, though we could have used the BBQ. Give it a try. Thanks, Karen.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay in these warm and welcoming farm lodges. The owner came by on arrival day to check that everything was okay and easy to find, which was thoughtful and helpful. The other guests checking in that day were all families too, and the atmosphere was happy and peaceful. The beds were clean and comfortable, but remember to book bedding if you aren’t bringing your own. The fire pit was my favourite part and the main reason I booked. We ordered three bags of logs, and if you run short there are more in nearby storage. You can help yourself and pay cash in the box. It’s self catering, with a clean, ready to use fridge, pans, plates, forks, teaspoons, soap and washing up liquid. We brought easy food with us. There’s a fruit farm just two minutes away for strawberry picking, with a lovely farm shop. We loved the oat milk and ice cream. Nairn Beach is a ten-minute drive, and on the way you’ll pass Sandbury’s and McDonald’s. Lots of places to visit are nearby, along with lovely routes for cycling, scootering or a walk. We highly recommend staying here and will come back. Thank you!
