There are riverside walks from the big fenced garden, and the town is only a six-minute drive away with plenty of dog-friendly pubs. Elan Valley is around half an hour away and absolutely spectacular. We stayed in Tudor Lodge for four nights with our dog. It was a fabulous visit: cosy but roomy, with everything we needed, including a reclining sofa and chair, a fully fitted kitchen, a very large bedroom, and a wet room. We’d definitely recommend it and book again.

We hired the whole lodge for a friend’s 50th birthday and had such a good time that we’re already thinking of booking again. It’s an amazing place for a big group of friends or a family gathering. I stayed in Middleton because it’s accessible for disabled guests, and I was really impressed by the space and facilities.

The proprietor supplied us with lots of useful information about the area, and the cottages have something for every sort of tourist. They were clean, modern, and comfortable. There’s a 24-hour shop and petrol station next door. We were working nearby, but Wales is lovely, especially for camping or motorbiking, with a good road network, beautiful towns, and great countryside. As the great Arnold said, I’ll be back.

Everything we needed was supplied, and the cottages were nice, clean, and tidy. Just a caution: there’s a small seasonal caravan site directly behind them that isn’t mentioned in the blurb. We visited in December, so it didn’t bother us.

It felt like a real home away from home, with roomy bedrooms, a spacious kitchen and living area, and all the amenities we needed. I’d highly recommend staying here and would definitely consider booking again next year.
