The pizza was enjoyable, though for the fairly high price it was just okay, nothing to write home about. Service was okay, and there were no beers on draught, which was a shame. I came for a quiet weekday lunch. One thing that always makes me laugh is being asked “are they well behaved?” after asking “are you dog friendly?” As if badly behaved children and adults are allowed. Just say yes and make us feel welcome. There was apparently no Wi-Fi, even though the restaurant’s name showed up on multiple networks. The mobile signal is so bad here that I’d have stayed for another drink or two with Wi-Fi. Instead, I went to a nearby pub.

The kitchen was due to close in five minutes when we stopped at Top Joes while doing some post-Christmas shopping in Narbeth, but they fitted us in easily. The pizza was absolutely incredible. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves good pizza!

The adult spaghetti Bolognese was smaller than the children’s portions, as all my kids pointed out, and I’d be surprised if there was even a tablespoon of sauce on my spaghetti. Most disappointing meal in 44 years. We were holidaying nearby and called in for pizza, but were told the oven was broken and pasta was the only option. That was fine, as we all love pasta. Once we sat down, we found there were three pasta dishes available. I ordered two children’s pesto pastas and a children’s spaghetti Bolognese for my kids, and spaghetti Bolognese for myself. The children’s dishes cost £9 each and mine was £19, understandably.

A great disappointment overall. The pasta was bland, though the pizza was okay. The specials board listed six wild garlic season dishes, but when we ordered, none were available. We’d been in the previous evening and were told those seasonal dishes would be available for another two weeks.

It's great to find somewhere so welcoming to dogs in a town that usually isn't. We've eaten here twice this week, and both meals were lovely. The pizzas are delicious, there's a really good wine list and a great choice of cocktails, and the service is friendly and efficient.
