The upstairs bedroom was especially poor: the two chests of drawers were in such bad shape that we left our clothes on top of the bunk beds. There were no wardrobes, only hangers behind the doors, and the window-frame corners had gone black. The upholstery needed a serious steam clean, and the cushions should have been thrown out. The shabby-chic furniture was tired, warped and needed cleaning out. So disappointing. We accepted a move to a flat.
