Abbey gave us such a lovely welcome. She’s really friendly, and the room was nice and had air con, which we were grateful for in 34-degree heat. The area isn’t the prettiest, with a McDonald’s, KFC and Beefeater nearby, and the main road close by, but it served its purpose. It’s a 20-minute walk to the train station and 25-30 minutes into Newarke. The town is lovely, and there’s a direct train to Lincoln, where the cathedral is lovely too.

Ruth at reception made our wedding celebration so memorable. She went above and beyond for me and my family, even though we swapped rooms around 100 times. Sorry, Ruth! Her customer service was the best I’ve ever had, and she’s truly one of the most amazing staff members I’ve met. We’re extremely pleased and grateful for everything she did. She deserves a raise.

The building’s a bit dated, but the room was absolutely spotless. Even the kettle was completely free of limescale. It’s a Premier Inn, so it’s budget as expected, and I can’t really fault it. I’d recommend it if you need somewhere to stay. There’s also a McDonalds, a pub and KFC nearby if you need a midnight chicken nugget fix.

After a long journey and an early start, all I want is the basics done well. At Newark, Premier Inn got them right again: a comfortable bed, a dark, cool, quiet room with double glazing, a great shower and a clean space. That’s why I always choose them when travelling for work. Please keep it up, and thanks.

Jane at reception welcomed us warmly and gave us plenty of useful information. Check-in was easy, and the hotel was simple to find. We stayed for one night in room No.209, which was very nice and clean. The shower cubicle had a little shelf for toiletries, something I find really useful. Newark Town Centre isn’t far, and there are restaurants nearby. A very pleasant stay.
