Bacon Arms

The Bacon Arms made our Newbury Pride monthly social feel relaxed and welcome. Our community doesn't often find places where everyone can feel completely at ease, but the staff and locals helped make this one of them. We had an amazing Friday evening, one of our best experiences. Thanks to all of you. We'll come back every other month when our plans bring us to that end of town.

The food was delicious and good value, and the staff made the place feel really welcoming. I had a great evening with friends, with drinks and something to eat, and we're planning to return for the next live music night. There are three dart boards, a pool table, and plenty of board games, too. My friend had a birthday party here a few weeks ago and it was so good that I'm thinking of having my daughter's 21st here. Definitely coming back.

We dropped into the Bacon arms on a whim, partly because I wanted bacon but can't eat it, long story. The two staff members were brilliant company, joking around, chatting, and playing games with us between tasks. They were helpful and accommodating with our needs and dietary choices. We all had a great time, and they made time for several tables, so people were laughing and having fun together. We'll definitely be back.

We went to The Greek table for meze on Saturday afternoon and left completely full from the generous servings. The food, atmosphere, and whole experience were lovely. Staff were helpful and accommodating, explaining each dish as it arrived and suggesting which sauce went with it. We didn't get that kind of explanation in Cyprus. We'll definitely return.
