We had such a cosy Sunday afternoon by the fire, playing games and taking our time. The pub’s been beautifully done inside, with that local pub feel and a slightly smarter restaurant look together. The food was all delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive without hovering. Thanks to the whole team for making it such a lovely afternoon 😘👌

The pork belly was the highlight at The Carpenters Arms Tot Hill (8.5/10), a generous portion and really tender from the slow cooking. The greens, roasted vegetables and gravy were tasty too, though I found the roast potatoes a bit salty. The huge Yorkshire pudding looked more impressive than it tasted, and the crackling came as just two tiny strips. Puddings looked tempting and were rich, but well done. Service dragged a little, though we did arrive during a busy Sunday lunch.

We’d happily stay here again. The room was comfortable, it’s very dog friendly, and the pub has a nice atmosphere, with a warm open fire and good outdoor seating. The staff were welcoming, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Great location too. Highly recommend.

Our room was quiet, private, warm and clean, with lovely rustic decor. We had a great one night stay. The restaurant was relaxing, and the Pork Belly main was gorgeous. We shared a starter and dessert, and both were just as lovely. Service was excellent, and we’re so glad we found The Carpenters Arms. We’ll be back.

The beer and food were reasonably priced, and the food was excellent. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. It’s the best country pub experience I’ve had in ages. Wish it were my local!
