We booked the Through the looking glass apartment for a Hen Do and had a great time. It’s right in the middle of everything, with pubs, shops and restaurants just outside. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and towels were provided. They’d also left snacks, treats, tea, coffee and plenty of toilet roll. The host communicated clearly, and the dual keypad entry meant we didn’t have to worry about keys. It’s noisy at night, but that’s expected given the location, and we weren’t there for a quiet night’s sleep. There are lots of stairs, so it may not suit everyone, though you can choose a first-floor room if stairs are a concern. We parked at the train station, less than a 10-minute walk away, and paid on return. The Friday-to-Monday ticket cost £15, in case that helps anyone driving down. We had a blast and would recommend it to big groups coming to enjoy Newcastle nightlife for the weekend. Thank you.

We were seven people on a stag party and stayed at the Toon Saloon. It was right in the middle of the action and exactly what we needed. The beds were clean and comfortable, there were towels, a decent shower and two bathrooms. Entry by pin pad was easy, and the owner communicated well beforehand. For a group staying in Newcastle, I wouldn’t look anywhere else.

Ten of us stayed here for a stag weekend. We booked through an external company, and everything went smoothly. Our host, Garry, was a really friendly man and a pleasure to talk to. The location was perfect. I’d recommend staying here and would come back.

Really spacious, convenient and reasonably priced. We were eight people in the loft, which I believe can sleep up to 14, and we had plenty of room. It never felt cramped or like we were getting in each other’s way. I’d happily stay again 😊

These apartments suit large groups, with all the basics provided and a spot right in the middle of everything. There can be noise outside and there are lots of stairs, but they’re ideal for hen and stag parties.
