We decided on Sunday lunch at short notice and were glad we did. The roasts were good value, served in generous portions with a nice choice of sides. The pub has a cosy country feel, with a roaring open fire, and sits in a picture postcard Sussex village. Service was excellent. Recommended.

The room was really only somewhere to sleep, and could have been better: the mattress needed replacing, the shower head kept dropping down, and the TV was in a silly position. The pub service was really good and the food was excellent during our three-night stay at the Bull.

The old inn is in a handy spot, not far from the bluebell railway, and we had a lovely evening meal of Barnsley Chop and Salmon. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely stay and would come back.

The Bull has become a regular stop for me, with easy parking, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Dogs are welcome, which is refreshing, and they even sell gluten/hide free dog chews at the bar. We had crab linguine and fish and chips with minted mushy peas. The food arrived quickly and piping hot, and was fantastic value. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and quick, friendly, efficient service. A brilliant find, 100% recommend giving it a try.
