Premier Inn Isle Of Wight - Newport

The room was clean and tidy, but unbearably hot. The windows only opened a few inches, there was no air conditioning, and the fan was useless because there were no sockets near the bed. The Wi-Fi was hopeless. Find another hotel on the IOW, there has to be somewhere better than this!

The hotel is in a good location, and all the staff were excellent when my son and I stayed over Christmas. His accessibility room wasn’t accessible for showering, though: you had to step over a low bath, and the rails were in the wrong position for safety. The rooms were cold, but staff brought heaters for each one.

I’ve stayed here several times and the staff have always been friendly. The food at the Beefeater next door is great, especially breakfast. Waqar on reception gave us a lovely welcome.

There was mould or damp on the corridor ceiling, and the room ceiling looked as if someone had been sick on it. One person was trying to cover the front desk, clean rooms and prepare new ones. They were lovely and very polite, but clearly overloaded for a hotel this size. How they’d manage in case of a fire is a good question.
