We booked Number 5 through Sykes cottages. The first couple of days were all right, then hundreds of flies started appearing every morning, day after day, and there was a bad smell. It seemed as if something, perhaps a rat, had died beneath the floors. I'd seen older reviews mentioning a problem a few years ago. The housekeeper didn't help, and Sykes cottages neither helped us nor offered any money back. It felt like a horror house. DO NOT STAY HERE! They keep deleting our comments. See photos.

I booked 9 Ocean Heights last week for a stay this Friday. The owner messaged me the next day to say the property wasn't available and blamed Sykes Property management. Whatever caused it, customers shouldn't have to deal with all the stress of calling repeatedly to get their money back, especially with a non-refundable reservation. The disorganization made for an awful experience, no matter whether the owner or property management was at fault. I wouldn't recommend this place and would advise staying away. With the pandemic situation, booking somewhere where you can contact the owner directly to check availability seems wiser than going through property management, where too many things can go wrong. If they truly cared about customers and took their business seriously, this wouldn't have happened in the first place.

We stayed at number 10 Ocean heights, booked through Airbnb. The property had everything needed for an enjoyable holiday, and the beaches and town were an easy short walk away.

We stayed in number 18, a fantastic house with everything we needed and a brilliant location. Ocean Heights is a group of new build properties in Newquay Cornwall. We'll stay again.

Our party of six had three double rooms, and we were on the top floor with an ensuite. The accommodation was excellent, clean and tidy. I'd recommend it.
