The hotel is within walking distance of the local attractions and beaches. We stayed four nights with breakfast included, and the hospitality was so friendly. The food was always fresh, served quickly, and there was plenty available. The bed was very comfortable too, and the decking had lovely scenery. My only criticism is that you can hear other guests moving around quite clearly through the wooden floors. Apart from that, we had a perfectly pleasant stay.

The room was spacious, spotless and had every amenity I could want. The bathroom was huge and very modern, and the decking area was enormous. We had a great view, with the beach and shops only a few minutes away on foot. I’d have paid more for it.

After my mother passed away, I was out of the country and sent an email with a letter from the hospice, after calling both the property and Booking.com. They didn’t seem interested, and the person on the phone almost laughed at me. I found the response lacking in empathy and understanding, and I wouldn’t use them again. I contacted The Quies Property Team about my booking after my mother died on Thursday, 23 April. I was in Columbus, Georgia, USA, making funeral arrangements and dealing with the immediate bereavement period. I sent evidence and asked them to reconsider the situation. I was upset that they wouldn’t explore a reasonable goodwill option, such as refunding the two nights or letting me rebook them for a more suitable time. I understand policies exist, but I had hoped they would approach this with more compassion. I asked them to reconsider fairly and empathetically.

The room was lovely and in a good location. Having air conditioning during the heatwave was a lifesaver, and it was excellent value for money.
