Killeavy Castle Estate

We had a lovely stay again, and our son and his partner enjoyed their visit the following week too. We came back for our anniversary after a fantastic previous visit. The autumn colours made the location especially lovely at this time of year. Our requested quiet room was on the lower floor, spotlessly clean and stocked with a minibar (extra charge), robes, a hair dryer, and a coffee machine. Staff were professional and attentive without hovering, clearly very well trained despite being young. Dinner was delicious, served in the bar because the castle was busy with a murder mystery night. It was noisier than the relaxing atmosphere we're used to, but that didn't affect the food. Breakfast had plenty of choice, including cooked dishes, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, and bread. Check-out was a breeze. We'll definitely return and have recommended it to friends and family.

The massage was handled very professionally and to a high standard. The surroundings were wonderful, the place was spotless, and the facilities were great. Dining and breakfast were top class. My partner and I had a great experience, and we'll be back. Thank you, Killeavy Castle staff.

The restaurant food is fantastic, especially the beef, so make sure you eat there. The rooms are lovely and often have a view, and the staff are all friendly. There's a great wine selection, too. The spa is fairly small, with more or less a single-lane swimming pool, a plunge pool, and an outdoor jacuzzi. It only takes 14 people, so reserve ahead. It's right beside slieve gullion and the beautiful walks there. A wonderful little break!

I've been here many times for functions, spa visits, and dinner. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, in an amazing setting, and the staff are lovely. We went to the recently refurbished restaurant this past weekend, and the food was amazing. We both had monkfish, 10/10.
